Kim
Hulbert
Kim is a Renaissance woman in a Diet Coke World….
with a passion for grapefruit, diets, cats and her son,
Vinnie (Vincent). Kim keeps nagging Vinnie to give her
grandchildren, but Vinnie said Kim should have thought
of that when she stopped at one child….
Under Kim’s dynamic and knowledgeable leadership,
the San Diego Chorus has won seven Regional Championship
medals as well as numerous International medals; most
recently, the International Gold medal in 2002. Kim has
been directing the chorus since 1985.
Kim’s talents lie not only in her directing and
teaching skills, but also in her performance accomplishments.
She sings lead in the 2001 International Champion Quartet,
A Cappella Gold. Kim has won the quartet title an unprecedented
three times -- in 1976 with High Society, in 1988 with
Savvy and most recently with A Cappella Gold.
Currently a Ph.D. candidate in musicology at Claremont
Graduate University, Kim fills her spare time directing
the Pacific Coast Harmony Men's Chorus in La Jolla.
Finally, Kim loves bald headed men. Unfortunately, her
three former husbands all had hair, which may explain
why they are “former”.
